The 17th edition of the Malta Spring Festival starts today, featuring an array of music and dance performances curated by festival artistic director Karl Fiorini. This year’s programme boasts a diverse selection of concerts, including masterpieces from the classical music repertoire and innovative contemporary works.

Concerts will take place at several venues across Malta, including the National Museum of Archaeology, the Malta Society of Arts, St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, and the iconic Teatru Manoel. All performances are free for children aged 15 and under, with a 50% discount available to students and senior citizens.

This year the festival is strongly focusing on outreach and inclusion programmes, featuring the Rising Stars Lunchtime Concert Series and the Rising Stars Spotlight mini-concerts. These initiatives provide talented young musicians and performers with opportunities to showcase their abilities in front of live audiences.

The Malta Spring Festival has also teamed up with Opening Doors, an NGO that promotes arts opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, as well as ĦalFar Outreach, an NGO that empowers refugees in Malta.
