Dalam Valley receives nomination at an International Festival of Animation organised by Italian public service broadcaster RAI.

The pilot episode of an original animated series produced in Malta, Dalam Valley, has been nominated for the prestigious Pulcinella Award at the Cartoons on the Bay festival organised by Rai Com. The series is produced by Toontuloon Animation Studio.

Episode one of Dalam Valley showcases the talent and artistic vision of Toontuloon Animation Studio, setting the stage for a remarkable series that promises to captivate audiences of all ages. The nomination at the Cartoons on the Bay festival serves as a testament to the exceptional quality and innovation displayed in the pilot.

The spark that inspired the story originated from the archeological evidence of prehistoric fauna exhibited in the Għar Dalam Museum in Birżebbuġa, Malta. Dalam Valley transports viewers to a moment in Maltese prehistory when the islands are connected to the mainland due to lower sea levels.
