Behind the scenes of Madama Butterfly

Your chance to be in the eye of the opera storm.

Ever wondered what the stage looks like before the actual performance? It’s usually quite a restricted space. And, as the Madama Butterfly cast and crew can attest, it’s usually busiest on opera day.

But Teatru Aurora is flipping that 180 degrees, opening the backstage area and giving an hour of time between 11.00am and noon to those who take interest in peeking into the backstage on opera day, to see the calm before the storm, or rather, to look at the storm in the eye.

No booking is required, but an e-mail on teatruaurora@leone.org.mt is appreciated. Madama Butterfly takes place tomorrow on October 14 at Teatru Aurora, Victoria.
