3 Christmas movies you can stream in the next two weeks

Candy Lane Cane will bring out the competitive street decorator in you.

Christmas movies are in a league of their own because, while they’re cheesy and obvious, there is nothing quite as feel-good as watching them snuggled up on a sofa with hot cocoa in one hand and a hot water bottle in the other.

So, if you’re ready for a whole new selection of these kitsch movies, then you’ll be glad to know that streaming giants Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video are dropping loads of new titles over the next two weeks – including these three!

Family Switch is the festive answer to anyone who loves Freaky Friday, as it’s about two parents and two teenagers who end up switching bodies. Starring Jennifer Garner, who played a similar role 20 years ago in 13 Going On 30, the story takes us on a journey of discovery as parents remember what it’s like to be young and teenagers are lumped with adult responsibility. This movie drops on Netflix on November 30.

Dashing Through The Snow stars Ludacris as Eddie, a Christmas-hating dad of one. Things may change, however, when a man dressed up as Father Christmas turns up in Eddie’s chimney, leading the father-daughter duo to go on an adventure that may just reveal that the man in the costume is actually the real Santa Claus. Discover what happens for yourself on Disney+ come November 17.

Candy Cane Lane is a story about a man named Chris, who is determined to win the neighbourhood’s annual Christmas decoration contest at all costs. Yet determination can sometimes be a dangerous thing, which is why he ends up making a pact with an elf that sees the the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ carol come to life. Starring Eddie Murphy, this film is out on Amazon Prime Video on December 1.
