With an estimated one million new titles published internationally each year, there will be a lot of new books to sink our teeth into over 2024. Below, we give you the brief on three titles that will be out by the end of March, and which we can’t wait to read!
Come and Get It is the second novel by Kiley Reid, following her Booker Prize-longlisted debut novel, Such a Fun Age. According to sources, the novel will tell the story of a woman whose financial struggles lead her to rely on an older woman, causing complicated power and class struggles. Out January 30th.
Grief is for People sees best-selling author Sloane Crosley, take a deep, hard look at one month in 2019 when her best friend died by suicide just days after her apartment in New York was burgled. Delving into her own experiences, she explains the hardships of the publishing industry and how these two unconnected traumas shaped her. Out February 27.
Until August is a translation by Anne McLean of a recently-discovered novel written by the late, Nobel Prize-winning, Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez, whose body of work includes classics like Love in the Time of Cholera and One Hundred Years of Solitude. This new title follows the story of a woman in the Caribbean who, after 27 years of marriage, gives into her deepest desires and takes a new lover each time she visits her mother’s grave. Out March 12.
