Esplora Interactive Science Centre in Kalkara is celebrating carnival while promoting sustainability in a unique event revolving around paper.

Visitors will have the chance to immerse themselves in the art of tinkering and making, while exploring the science behind traditional artistic crafts. Through hands-on activities, they will also discover the art of paper crafting, from DIY paper-making to intricate papier-mâché and large-scale paper constructions.

But beyond the fun and creativity, Karta Festa has a deeper message. The young visitors will learn about sustainability as they discover how upcycling can transform unusable paper into practical items. The event thus shows that one can make a positive impact on the environment even while having fun, and turn yesterday’s pages into tomorrow’s stories!

Tickets can be bought from the reception on the day of their visit on a first-come, first-served basis, or pre-buy their ticket from here. Children are invited to wear their favourite costume.
