On March 16, Heritage Malta is inviting guests to join a Curator’s Tour of Fort St Elmo, the star-shaped, 16th-century fortress that played a crucial role in the Knights’ win over the Ottomans. The tour will specifically focus on the fort’s role during the infamous siege, which lasted from May 25 till June 23, 1565, when it was eventually captured.

Running from 10am to 11.30am, the narrated tour aims to immerse visitors through the retelling of gripping, historical tales that explain the polarised fight to the death between the two rival Mediterranean superpowers of the time. It will also take visitors to various spaces within the stronghold, some dating to the time of the Siege.

This tour, which will be held in English, is open to all ages. Prices are as follows: Adults €15, Seniors & Students €12, and Children €10. Tickets are available for purchase from any Heritage Malta museum or site, as well as online on heritagemalta.mt/store.
