Palazzo Falson welcoming students on International Museum Day

Following the theme of this year’s International Museum Day – ‘Museums for Education and Research’, Palazzo Falson in Mdina is inviting students studying art, design, fashion and textiles from May 17 to 19 to be inspired by the costumes and accessories currently on display as part of Curious Beauty: An Alternative Costume Exhibition.

Under the artistic direction of Caroline Tonna and Francesca Balzan, historic costume and accessories from the State, Church and important private collections are displayed in contemporary art installations against the backdrop of the medieval palazzo.

Students are welcome to bring their sketchbooks and draw while they visit the installations.

There is also a guided tour of the exhibition exclusively for students from May 17 to 19 from noon to 1pm.

The ticket price for exhibition entry and the special tour is €6 for students.

The exhibition, presented by presented by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, runs until June 16. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm (last entry) with extended hours on Fridays until 7pm (last entry).
