After wrapping up the theatre season for 2023-2024, TOI TOI, the Manoel’s Learning and Participation Programme, is holding a number of auditions for upcoming productions.
Auditions will be held for the programme’s Baby Series on July 6. The series consists of four productions designed for the youngest audience (0-4 years). Artists will be considered for individual and/or multiple shows within the series, subject to availability.
It is also holding auditions for young artists, aged between eight and 13, for a new twist on the classic tale Peter and the Wolf, which will be staged as part of ŻiguŻajg Festival 2024 in November. This is an open call for young artists who have experience with dance and choreographed movement. Auditions will be held on July 7.
Also on July 7 will be auditions for The Great Little Panto Show, written by Malcolm Galea with original music by Matteo Depares, which will run in December. TOI TOI are looking for artists aged over 18 who possess “good comedic timing, improvisational skills and a great voice”.
Other auditions for artists aged over 18, who have experience in puppeteering and physical theatre are being sought for Lion & Mouse being staged in February 2025. The newly-devised show will feature stories from Aesop’s Fables. Auditions will be held on July 6.
TOI TOI is also looking for eight- to 13-year-old children and 18+ artists for the family-friendly Annual Easter Show in April 2025. Titled ‘The Boy Band Chronicles’, the show will feature vocal artists of all voice types – soprano, mezzo, tenor, baritone and bass − who can bust a move or two. These auditions are being held on July 7.
