Local fashion brand Parascandolo has launched a new campaign seeking illustrators, digital artists, painters, musicians, and other creatives from across the Maltese Islands to collaborate and tell new stories through fashion.
Claiming to offer “the perfect platform for artists who want to bring their art to life in new, creative ways,” the brand promises to maintain the integrity of the creative’s work while “fusing it with [the brand’s] distinct fashion aesthetic.”
Parascandalo, which came to prominence thanks to its bold and recognisable tees, has become one of the Maltese Islands’ most sought-after clothing brands. A mainstay at Malta Fashion Week for years, the brand is constantly reinventing itself while staying true to its roots and love for Maltese heritage.
As the brand explains on its website, the process of collaborating with them will be in four parts. Firstly, artists need to submit a contact form and portfolio for the team at Parascandalo to review. Once they ensure that the artist’s vision aligns with the brand’s aesthetic and ethos, the team will then sit down with the artist to come up with ideas of how the creative’s art can be turned into wearable merchandise, be it t-shirts, hoodies, or accessories. Finally, the artist and the team behind Parascandalo will collaborate on the final designs, which can then go into production.
