With spooky season finally upon us, it’s now time to start thinking about your Halloween-themed tables, especially if you’re planning a party for the scariest night of the year.

That’s why we’ve scoured the internet looking for easy, yet impressive recipes that we could share with you. This one from Taste of Home ticked all the boxes, and you’ll be amazed by how simple and flavourful it is!

Ingredients:

  • 2 rolls of shortcrust pastry
  • 32g salted butter, softened
  • 32g fresh basil, minced
  • 2 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes, dried and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method:

Serve with dips or cheeses.

Preheat the oven to 190°C (gas mask 5).

Unroll each roll of pastry and cut into triangular shapes. Each roll should yield around eight pieces.

In a small bowl, mix all the other ingredients.

Spread around a teaspoon of the mixture onto the wide side of the triangle and roll that end up to create the brim of the witch’s hat.

Place on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Rotate at the halfway mark and bake until golden.
