Chanel unveils holiday makeup collection inspired by winter’s Aurora Borealis

Chanel has launched its much-anticipated 2024 holiday makeup collection, drawing inspiration from the mesmerizing hues of winter landscapes illuminated by the aurora borealis. Designed by the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio and brought to life by the Cometes Collective with creative direction by Valentina Li, the collection captures the enigmatic shimmer and brilliance of a frosty, starry night.

The standout of the collection is diamond dust, a seasonal highlighter featuring an embossed snowflake design that adds a radiant, pearlescent glow to the complexion. For the eyes, the enchanted night powder palette introduces a daring harmony of shades, from copper coral to fuchsia pink, evoking the captivating hues of the arctic lights. Complementing this palette, le liner de Chanel offers a new range of shades in brown red and plum, accentuating depth and drama, while ombre première laque debuts in a unique pearly black with a hint of purple, creating a shimmering halo effect.

The collection extends its frost-inspired hues to the lips, with rouge allure l’extrait lipsticks in shades ranging from brick red to purple brown, each in a limited-edition snowflake-embossed case. For a metallic satin finish, rouge allure laque introduces two new hues—pearly fuchsia pink and deep red—adding an irresistible shimmer to holiday looks. Finally, for nails, le vernis is available in two new winter-inspired shades: the vibrant metallic pink of charmer and the deep, slightly purple black of storyteller.

Chanel’s holiday collection embodies the enchanting beauty of winter nights, inviting makeup enthusiasts to add a touch of celestial elegance to their seasonal style.
