According to a report from the What’s On Netflix website, the highly-anticipated fourth installment in the Bridgerton series will drop on Netflix either in time for Christmas 2025 or Valentine’s Day 2026. This means we have a minimum of 12 more months until we find out how the story continues!
Based on the much-loved book series by Julia Quinn, the Shondaland series debuted on Netflix on December 25, 2020. Since then it has become one of the most watched series in the streaming service’s history, with the first season raking up an incredible 113.3 million views.
The latest season of the series dropped on May 16 of this year, and was also a huge success. In it, we saw Penelope Featherington, who is played by Nicola Coughlan, properly enter Mayfair society.
For the fourth season, however, we can expect the second Bridgerton son, Benedict (played by Luke Thompson), to take centre stage, find love, and let go of his loathing for settling down. As per Netflix’s official website, this will all begin at a masquerade ball hosted by his mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton.
Although the reports on What’s On Netflix are not final, they are being taken seriously by fans and industry alike. The likelihood, in fact, is that the first half of the season will be released around Christmas 2025 and the second around Valentine’s Day of the following year.
What’s certain is that when the new season drops, it will be another hit that will take up column inches for many weeks!
