Over the Christmas period, members of the Mosta Girl Guides distributed around 90 goodie bags to patients undergoing cancer treatment at the SAMOC Day Centre, Mater Dei.
The goody bags, made from recycled material by the Girl Guides themselves with the help of some parents and other volunteers, consisted of various items such as socks and gloves to keep warm, tea, lip balm, hot chocolate powder, cereal bars, as well as pencils and coloured pencils.
This initiative complements several other good deeds undertaken by the Mosta Girl Guides throughout 2024, in line with one of their mottos, ‘lend a hand’.
The Guides also presented a €150 donation to Puttinu Cares.
