NGO Right 2 Smile is holding a fundraising event on Sunday, bringing together music lovers, families and community supporters for an evening of live music, food, crafts and activities ‒ all in support of global community projects.

Titled Rhythm, Roots & Right 2 Smile, the event will see a line-up of artists performing at The Hideout, Pembroke. These include:

AfroPuff: Best known as the powerhouse drummer, singer and guitarist of BeeSqueeze, AfroPuff has been lighting up the local scene through a range of musical projects. This time, he’s taking the stage solo, sharing an acoustic set and debuting some of his original material for the very first time.

Sam Christie: With his soulful vocals, Christie brings heartfelt tunes and a whole lot of good vibes to every performance.

Maya Aarohi: Fresh off the release of her debut EP Bitter, singer-songwriter Aarohi will perform a stripped-back acoustic set. She will be accompanied by Sam Christie on guitar and vocals. Alongside her original work, she will also be sharing a few handpicked covers, all delivered with her signature warmth and soul.

Bark Bark Disco: Known for his infectious energy and lo-fi pop magic, Bark Bark Disco brings a unique sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and fresh.

Festivalgoers will also enjoy delicious food and a curated thrift and artisan market, besides family-friendly activities.

The event starts at 4pm. Tickets are available here but can also be purchased at the door.

All proceeds will support Right 2 Smile’s ongoing projects in Malta, Kenya, Cambodia and Ghana.

“Our work focuses on empowering youth and communities through education, health and inclusion. Currently, our biggest initiative is building two new classrooms in Olasiti, Kenya − but proceeds will also help sustain our projects in Santa Luċija (Malta), Takeo (Cambodia) and Kpando (Ghana), where we offer everything from youth mentorship to medical support,” the NGO said.
