Klabb Kotba Maltin together with the Ganado family are pleased to announce the publication of a new edition of the four volumes of Herbert Ganado’s Rajt Malta Tinbidel.

Rajt Malta Tinbidel is Herbert Ganado’s biography and is considered one of the best books in Maltese. In the four volumes, the author recounts the events that took place from the end of the nineteenth century to the last quarter of the twentieth century – from the two world wars to Malta’s political journey from a colony to an independent and sovereign state. With simple language and easy-to-follow style, sometimes humorous, sometimes human, the author manages to give a picture of the social fabric of Malta in those times offering the reader a lasting testimony of those years for generations to come. These volumes are indeed a gem and probably one of the best books of contemporary Maltese history that every home should possess with pride.

This new edition has been re-set in total respect for Herbert Ganado’s original writing. The volumes will all be hardbound and each volume will include a number of photographs, some of which are being published for the first time. The set will have an introduction by Judge Giovanni Bonello and will include an analythical index. The four volumes will be for sale as a set and will be available from this November.

The four-volume set will be on sale in November 2025 for the price of €250. Nevertheless, the set may be ordered as from now from Klabb Kotba Maltin website at a pre-publication price of €220. In addition, Klabb Kotba Maltin is preparing a limited edition of 100 with a specially-made slipcase. Each set will be numbered and certified. This limited edition will be sold for a price of €295.
