Masquerade Malta, in collaboration with the Manoel Theatre, is presenting a new production of Arthur Miller’s timeless classic A View from the Bridge, opening this October at Malta’s national theatre.
The modern classic tells the powerful story of Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman whose seemingly ordinary life spirals into turmoil in a gripping tale of love, honour and betrayal. One of Miller’s most searing explorations of justice, identity and human fallibility, the play continues to resonate with audiences nearly 70 years after its debut.
The production boasts a stellar cast, led by Isabel Warrington as Beatrice, Peter Galea as Eddie and Mikhail Basmadjian as Alfieri − the lawyer who serves as both narrator and moral compass. Joining them are Thea Costa as Catherine, Matthew Dimech Genuis as Rodolpho, Neil Cutajar as Marco and Benjamin Abela as Mike.

Directed by Jean-Marc Cafà, the creative team brings together Rochelle Gatt as movement director, Adrian Mamo on set design, Matteo Depares as soundscape designer and Simona Mamo on costume design. This bold, physical interpretation will capture the raw tension and emotional depth of Miller’s work, set against a striking visual and sonic backdrop.
