The Gozo Youth Wind Band within the Gozo Youth Wind Band and Orchestra is presenting the 10th edition of Stage and Proms on the Sea at the Mġarr Marina on September 10 at 8.30pm.
Youth musicians from all over Gozo, together with foreign and Maltese musicians, are currently in full swing preparing for the event, which features numbers from popular London West End shows and evergreen masterpieces from the BBC Proms.
This year’s show features a new line-up of pop singers that includes Ludwig Galea and Clara Sciberras. The Gozo Youth Wind Band will be under the direction of its founder and musical director Joseph Grech.

The Gozo Youth Orchestra will next present The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber 2, at the Grandmaster’s Suite, Hilton, Malta, on September 24. Tickets for this event can be obtained from www.showshappening.com.
Later on this year, they will perform in the Malta premiere of Jeff Wayne’s rock orchestral masterpiece, The War of the Worlds. It will be held on November 22 at the Aurora Theatre, Victoria. Tickets to be available from from www.teatruaurora.com.
