Former Kraftwerk drummer Wolfgang Flür to perform in Malta

Wolfgang Flür contributed to the golden age of electronic music.

On occasion of the 10th anniversary from its formation, the voluntary organisation Electronic Music Malta (EMM) is welcoming former Kraftwerk member Wolfgang Flür with his Musik-Soldat project.

As the iconic electronic drummer of the pioneering German band Kraftwerk, Flür helped define the golden age of electronic music, contributing from Autobahn (1974) through Electric Café (1986).

Wolfgang will be performing a hybrid live and DJ set at Liquid Club in San Ġwann on October 10. He will be accompanied by Peter Duggal from the UK, an electronic music artist who has performed original works at festivals and venues across the UK and Europe.

Duggal collaborated extensively with Flür alongside influential figures who include Juan Atkins and Ulrich Schnauss. The local artist line-up includes: RAIM (Sound Synthesis vs Acidulant), Duo Blank and Faddy.

Early bird tickets are currently available. More information can be found on EMM’s Facebook page and Instagram account.

EMM is supported by Arts Council Malta. The event forms part of the yearly Circuits programme and is also supported by the German-Maltese Circle and Black Box Pro.
