The first edition of Battle of the Beasts, the brand-new TV series that combines sports competition with high-energy family entertainment, is set to take place this week.
Eddie Hall, world-renowned strongman and social media sensation, has been visiting various sites around Malta in the past week in preparation for the highly anticipated event, including visiting local gyms and meeting local fans.
“It is a pleasure to be back in Malta after my visit last year. Everyone is very welcoming, and this country is the perfect location to host Battle of the Beasts. I cannot wait to roll cameras on this landmark event and show the world what we have been working on for many years,” Hall said.
Hall will be presenting the show together with a long line-up of international and local co-host stars including Leah Shutkever, Paul Smith, Denise Kim Gafà, Tommy Fury, Brian Shaw and Olivier Richters.
The contestants who will be competing in Battle of the Beasts include the reigning ‘World’s Strongest Man’, Rayno Nel, alongside Luke and Tom Stoltman, Mark Felix, Trey Mitchell, Mitchell Hooper, Paddy Haynes, Eddie Williams, Pa O’Dwyer, and the current Strongest Man on Earth, Evan Singleton.

Public invited to press conference
A press conference with all the contestants and Eddie Hall is being held tomorrow, September 30, at Campus Hub, Msida, alongside the official weigh-in on Wednesday, October 1, at Mercury Towers, St Julian’s. The media and members of the public are invited to attend the press conference.
Director Roel Reiné (Halo, Death Race) will direct the show, with Visit Malta and online sports betting and crypto casino Duelbits supporting the event as the main sponsors.
“We are incredibly excited to serve as the exclusive headline sponsor for ‘Battle of the Beasts,’ hosted by the legendary Eddie Hall,” said Jasper Hoekert, chief marketing officer of Duelbits.

We’re proud to partner with Camelot Films and bring this epic showdown to fans worldwide from the stunning backdrop of Malta.”
The show is produced by Matt Hookings and Luke Croft-Faulkner of Camelot Films. This is Camelot’s fifth project in Malta since 2019. The self-funded production company most notably brought Russell Crowe back to Malta for the first time since Gladiator in 1999 for their film Prizefighter in 2022.
