KRS Releasing, in collaboration with cinemas across Malta and Gozo, is holding another edition of Children Cinema Day on October 18.
The Eden Cinemas in St Julian’s, Embassy Cinemas in Valletta, Galleria Cinemas in Fgura and the Citadel Cinemas in Victoria will be offering a variety of children’s films at reduced admission prices, for all shows commencing before 7pm.
There will be preview screenings of Dreamworks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, a Dreamworks Animation adaptation of the mixed media preschool series featuring a world of adorable cat characters, and Sketch, a fantasy in which a girl’s drawings come to life.
These will show alongside the most recent releases such as Dogs at the Opera, about a four-legged adventure in 1900s Moscow; Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 hit comedy starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan; and Bad Guys 2, another DreamWorks Animation film about a criminal crew of animal outlaws who are forced to come out of retirement and join a female squad for one last heist.
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will also be showing together with some of the blockbuster titles released over the summer, which include Lilo & Stitch, Superman, Smurfs and Fantastic Four: First Steps, among others.
Ticket sales are now open. For screening times, refer to the schedule of each individual cinema.
