An exhibition by artist Martin Formosa is currently on at Level 0, Skyparks Business Centre, Luqa. Forty-seven works, mainly executed with soft pastels over the span of 25 years, are on display.
The main theme of the artworks is nature; one can find local and foreign landscapes and seascapes, but there are also streetscapes and portraits.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Culture Minister Owen Bonnici on October 18. During the event, an art book on the artist, Martin Formosa – A Realist and Romantic Artist, edited by art critic E.V. Borg was launched.
The book, which was published with the support of Arts Council Malta, gives a thorough review of past works by Formosa, a critical appraisal and a biography of the artist.
The exhibition runs until January 18.
