Fleur and Chelsea Sciortino, the two sisters who created Flabbergasted, the tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) for the international market, are participating in the Malta Book Festival (November 5 to 9) and the Malta Comic Con (November 8 and 9).
For this occasion, they are launching Frances & Ġorġ – Camp Make-Believe, a new game aimed at young children, created in collaboration with local illustrator Moira Scicluna Zahra of Studio Meltdown.
Frances & Ġorġ: Camp Make Believe invites young players into a magical world of boundless imagination, kindness and creativity.
In the game, kids become campers who embark on eight fantastical quests − from helping forgetful mermaids to hosting dance parties for dinosaurs − all while learning essential social-emotional skills like empathy, courage and self-expression.
In recent weeks, The Wanderer’s Tome, their publishing entity, also successfully launched a crowdfunding campaign overseas on the US platform Backerkit for their new game.
The Wanderer’s Tome is a publishing first for a Maltese entity producing TTRPGs, having successfully participated in the Ennies, the “Oscars” of this game sector, a couple of years ago with their game Flabbergasted.
This game is now also available in four languages: French, Italian, English, and Chinese, a notable feat for a Maltese organisation that is steadily breaking into the highly competitive international tabletop role-playing games market.
