Archbishop Charles Scicluna will be signing copies of the latest edition of his book of homilies, Kelma ta’ Ħabib, on the final day of the 2025 edition of the Malta Book Festival being held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali until Sunday.
The Archdiocese of Malta is taking part in the event for the first time, offering interactive, educational, spiritual and cultural activities at its dedicated stand.
Among others, visitors are invited to participate in an interactive quiz, ‘Test Your Bible Knowledge!’, organised by the Malta Bible Foundation. Participants can discover more about the Bible, as well as win a Maltese edition of the Bible.
Spiritual Development in Schools (SDS) are hosting interactive sessions for children aimed at enticing curiosity, wisdom, hope, gratitude and a sense of wonder. After listening to three different stories, children are invited to write a prayer or questions to God on post-it notes which will be placed on a bubble-filled tube, symbolising their thoughts and prayers rising to heaven.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Malta Bible Foundation and the Diocesan Children’s Commission (Kummisjoni Djoċesana Tfal − KDT) will organise interactive storytelling sessions featuring Bible stories tailored for younger children, and another for older ones.
Author Lara Fenech will also invite children into a new world of dreams, gentleness and spiritual comfort through her new publication, When I Grow Up: Heidi’s Show and Tell.
The festival is organised by the National Book Council. For more information, visit ktieb.org.mt/maltabookfestival.
