New cultural destination in Valletta blends art, atmosphere and heritage

Palazzo 318 is located in a historic townhouse in St Paul Street, Valletta.

A new contemporary art gallery is opening today in a historic townhouse in St Paul’s Street, Valletta.

The carefully curated space, Palazzo 318, is offering visitors something rare: a gallery experience that feels both intimate and elevated, where every exhibition is designed to be approached slowly, thoughtfully and with intention.

Where old Valletta meets a new creative spirit

Behind its restored façade, Palazzo 318 opens up into a serene, modern interior thoughtfully shaped to host contemporary art. The gallery’s philosophy centres on clarity, craftsmanship and the stories materials can tell.

A look inside the new exhibition space.

Instead of overwhelming the senses, Palazzo 318 invites guests to pause, look closer and connect with artworks that reveal themselves layer by layer.

A curated escape for art lovers

The programme will bring together artists working across fine art and contemporary practices. One is to expect exhibitions that encourage conversation, celebrate process and offer fresh perspectives on Maltese and international creativity.

From sculptural explorations to refined works on paper, Palazzo 318 aims to become a regular stop for curious minds.

“We wanted to create a space where visitors can experience art in a way that feels personal − a moment of reflection in the heart of Valletta,” co-founder Neil Ferris says.

“Palazzo 318 is about depth, substance and the kind of artistry that stays with you.”

The gallery is opening tonight with the exhibition ‘M’hemmx għalfejn tuża moħħok’, featuring works by filigree maestro Kevin Attard and the contemporary collective Auberge. Follow updates, opening details and upcoming exhibitions at www.palazzo318.com or via the gallery’s social channels.
