A solo exhibition by artist Jessica Vella, exploring sacred stillness within familiar Maltese spaces, is currently open at the Sagrestia Vault, Valletta Waterfront.
At the historic vault, which is connected to a chapel, Ħemda Sagra invites visitors into a quiet encounter with light, colour and contemplation. Through vibrant yet restrained palettes, Vella’s paintings capture moments that feel inhabited by memory.
The works draw inspiration from Maltese architecture, coastal scenes and devotional spaces, reimagined not as landmarks but as places of inward stillness.
Ħemda Sagra is an invitation to slow down, to observe and to experience stillness as something sacred and alive.
The exhibition runs until January 31. It is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 5 to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 2pm.
Entrance is free.
