Maltese comedian Steve Hili is set to return to the stage in March with his latest stand-up comedy special, Manaconda, marking another milestone in his international career.
Hili, the first Maltese comedian to perform a one-hour solo show in London’s West End, will premiere the new show at Theatre Next Door in Naxxar before taking it on tour across Europe.
Known for his sharp delivery and fearless approach to comedy, Hili describes Manaconda as his most unfiltered and high-energy show to date.
The performance draws heavily from his personal life, weaving together candid stories, self-inflicted disasters and moments of blunt honesty that have become central to his comedic identity. As with much of his work, the material pushes boundaries and is not aimed at easily offended audiences.
European tour
The March premiere represents both a homecoming and a launchpad. Following the Maltese debut, Manaconda will tour several European cities, continuing Hili’s role as one of the country’s most visible cultural exports.
The show will also be professionally filmed and streamed online, making it accessible to an international audience and extending its reach beyond live venues.
In Manaconda, Hili strips his storytelling down to its rawest form, combining fast-paced delivery with tightly structured narratives refined through years of performing in comedy clubs around the world.
The result is a set built on momentum and precision rather than spectacle, placing emphasis on writing, timing and audience connection.
Tickets for the Maltese premiere start from €15 and are available at stevehili.com. The show is brought to audiences with the support of VisitMalta, Carlsberg, Twistees, Fort Fitness, Bruvv, Seaview Hotel, Browns and Cavemen Studios.
