The Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria is staging a sequel to the popular play It-Tieġ ta’ Karmena Abdilla on April 25 and 26.
Il-Honeymoon ta’ Karmena Abdilla, originally written by Charles Clews and adapted for the stage by Dominic Said, sees the return of the iconic characters of Karmena and her new husband Paċifku, this time on their honeymoon.
The production has been entrusted to a team of youths from the oratory under the direction of Matthias Mercieca. Maria Cassar and Karl J. Buhagiar are reprising the main roles of Karmena and Paċifku. Other key performers include Jamie Camilleri as Uncle Fred, George Sacco as Ninu and Lara Xerri Mompalao as Perpetwa.

It’s a production which, while combining established and emerging local talent, will give audiences a fun theatrical experience,” director Mercieca says.
