‘7 Sins’: A seductive game of temptation

Moveo Dance Company's vision for the deadly sins of lust (left) and gluttony.

Seven sins. Seven minutes each. Seven choreographers. Seven performers. One stage.

Moveo Dance Company is presenting a fast-paced journey through temptation, told through seven bold choreographic visions at the Valletta Campus Theatre on Friday and Saturday (March 13 and 14).

In 7 Sins, each choreographer brings their own distinct voice and interpretation to a single deadly sin, crafting seven contrasting yet interconnected pieces that unfold in sharp, intense seven-minute bursts.

The result is a fast-paced, immersive dance theatre experience that explores desire, indulgence and the fine line between pleasure and consequence.

But this is no ordinary showcase, the dance company says.

Framed as a stylised game show, 7 Sins invites the audience to step beyond passive observation. As each sin is performed, seductive, provocative, sometimes unsettling, the tension builds towards a final decision. In the end, it is the audience who becomes judge and jury, choosing which sin will be condemned to eternal damnation.

The format is playful yet charged, theatrical yet intimate. It asks uncomfortable questions: Which sin tempts you most? Which deserves punishment? And what does your choice reveal?

Shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets and more information are available at www.showshappening.com.
