A dear Maltese friend

For Azzopardi, one of the most touching moments came when Berti spoke about a close Maltese friend, Oscar, who passed away recently.

“Clearly emotional, she remembered him as a loyal friend who had always supported her throughout her visits and performances to Malta. She recalled their friendship with warmth and gratitude, highlighting the special connection she has always felt with the Maltese people,” Azzopardi said.

Berti has often described the Maltese as warm and appreciative supporters of her music. Over the years she has performed in the country several times and has maintained a close relationship with local fans.

Looking forward to Malta – May 31

During the conversation, Berti spoke enthusiastically about her upcoming concert in Malta. Organised by AD events, La mia vita è un film (My life is a film) is being held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on May 31.

“The concert will celebrate the milestones of her extraordinary career, taking audiences on a musical journey through her greatest hits and the stories behind them,“ Azzopardi said.

He added that her upcoming appearance in Malta promises to be “not only a celebration of music, but also a tribute to the friendships, memories and audiences that have accompanied her remarkable journey.”
