The Alliance Française is hosting a reading of the famous French fairy tale Le Petit Chaperon Rouge (Little Red Riding Hood) for children aged 5+ on January 30 from 3 to 5.30pm.

The tale, which follows a young girl and a sly wolf, can be traced back to several pre-17th-century European folk tales. The two best-known versions were written by French author Charles Perrault and the German Brothers Grimm.

The event will take place at the Alliance Française – Secondary School, San Ġorġ Preca, Triq Wenzu Mallia, Ħamrun.

The reading will be followed by a convivial tasting of the Northern French-style Galette des Rois, a flaky puff pastry filled with frangipane, a sweet almond-flavoured custard.

One can reserve their spot here.
