Throughout July, Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum is organising lunchtime tours celebrating Olof Gollcher (1889-1962), the previous owner and resident of the palazzo. The tours will be held daily except Mondays, when the museum is closed.
Gollcher was a remarkable man whose life was defined by his deep respect for Maltese heritage, his love for travel, his military service, his philanthropic contributions and his enduring passion for the art of collecting. He passed away in July 1962.
The tours invite the public to learn more about ‘Olly’, as he was affectionately known, and whose wish it was to share his home and exquisite collections with future generations. One can, in fact, learn about his passions, his family and friends, his artistic and military career, as well as his travels from the artefacts on display at the museum.
Tickets for the tours are non-refundable. Pre-booking by e-mailing bookings@palazzfalson.com is essential.
Check out the museum’s social media platforms for more information.
Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum is managed by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, a non-profit heritage foundation aiming to spread awareness about our heritage through museums, publications, exhibitions and events.
