Watch: The story behind American Psycho

In the early 1990s a book was released that caused heated debate amongst critics and the public. Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho was the US author’s third novel and told the story of a 1980s New York trader with a penchant for extreme violence. This films focuses on a cult hit, that was the making of Ellis, exploring what it reveals about contemporary American society.
