Premiering in October 2011, American Horror Story (AHS) has become an international phenomenon with its first 11 seasons being viewed by millions across the globe and amassing an average score of 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.
If that weren’t enough to get many people excited about the upcoming season, the news that English model Cara Delevingne and media personality Kim Kardashian were joining regular AHS actress Emma Roberts on set sent the internet ablaze.
Now, we have a trailer for this new season, which will be based on a yet-unpublished book by American author, Danielle Valentine, titled Delicate Condition.
The trailer is a feast for the eyes, with horror scenes featuring a pregnant Kim Kardian with spider legs emerging out of her back, and who can later be seen in a makeshift skirt made out of spiderwebs holding a baby; Cara Delevingne in red latex sporting a syringe; and a pregnant Emma Roberts running from spider-like people. All this is set to a very moody version of ‘Rock-a-bye Baby’ and there are clear themes that emerge, including spiders and, potentially, genetic modification.
The 12th season of AHS will premiere on September 20 on FX in the States and, while it may take a while for the new episodes to reach our shores, we’re sure it’s going to end up being the subject of many-a-meme on social media soon!The trailer for the upcoming season of American Horror Story looks fire!
