Michelin-approved places

The Xara Collection continues to push gastronomic boundaries and offer experiential dining.
Rosami earns its first Michelin star.

The Xara Collection stood as a “beacon of culinary excellence”, boasting a glittering portfolio of Michelin stars and Michelin-recommended restaurants in this year’s edition of the Michelin Guide.

Rosami at the Villa, in Balluta Bay, earned its first Michelin star, despite being in existence for less than two years. It has quickly risen to prominence under the visionary leadership of Rosami Head Chef Cliff Borg.

Among the starred restaurants bestowed with this prestigious accolade, Rosami stands alone as the sole new entry to the coveted one Michelin star list.

With a focus on seasonal ingredients sourced fresh from the Xara Gardens, Rosami will continue to offer a space to experience exquisite flavours, fragrances and a feast for the senses.

“I was over the moon on hearing the news of Rosami being awarded a Michelin Star. From day one of creating the Rosami concept, together with my sous chef Andrea Amore and the backing of the Xara Collection owners, our goal was to be among the top restaurants on the island,” Chef Cliff said.

“Through hard work and dedication, we have achieved our dream, and I am very proud of our Rosami team. We will continue to push to provide experiential dining to our guests, trying to wow them every time they visit.”

From the streets of Mdina to the stunning views of Balluta Bay, each establishment within the Xara Collection offers a culinary journey.

For the fifth consecutive year, de Mondion, located within The Xara Palace – Relais & Chateaux, has been awarded the prestigious Michelin star, a testament to its unwavering commitment to culinary excellence.

This year also marks a significant milestone as de Mondion restaurant celebrates 25 years from its first service to guests.

Under Executive Chef Clint Grech’s guidance, de Mondion continues to push the boundaries of gastronomy, delighting diners with innovative dishes and impeccable service while respecting local cuisine and sustainably sourced ingredients.

The Xara Collection also takes pride in its restaurants that have earned coveted recommendations in the Michelin Guide. Among them is the Medina restaurant, a beloved establishment nestled within the ancient walls of Mdina.

With the culinary expertise of Chef Jonathan Bonello and with the restaurant’s charming ambiance and delectable cuisine, the team has proudly retained its recommendation, reaffirming its status as a culinary gem within the Xara Collection.
