Maltabiennale.art offers a range of artistic exploration.

Exciting events and workshops taking place as part of maltabiennale.art 2024, showcasing an eclectic mix of artistic expression and cultural vibrancy. From captivating exhibitions to engaging workshops, maltabiennale.art invites participants to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and inspiration.

Visitors can also discover a number of national and thematic pavilions from all across the globe, featuring works by artists from China, Ukraine, Italy, Spain and Poland to name a few. Among the events taking place, the Ukraine National Pavilion, titled ‘From South to North’, hosted a curatorial tour and discussion, delving deeper into the pavilion’s theme. These explored the complex narratives of decolonisation and shared imperial pasts between Ukraine and Malta.

maltabiennale.art is a Heritage Malta initiative through MUŻA, the Malta National Community Art Museum, in partnership with Arts Council Malta. maltabiennale.art is also presented in cooperation with the Ministries for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, and Gozo, as well as with Visit Malta, Malta Libraries, MCAST, Festivals Malta, Valletta Cultural Agency and Spazju Kreattiv. With
the participation of Malta School of Art, AUM, ŻfinMalta, KorMalta, Teat ru Manoel, Malta
Philharmonic Orchestra, Franco La Cecla, IULM University, Milan, Department of Humanities Studies, Faculty of Arts and Tourism, Underwater Department Heritage Malta, Archaeological Department Heritage Malta and Maritime Museum Heritage Malta.
