While bracelet, necklace, and ring layerings are not fads that have gone out of style these past few years, watch layering is a trend that comes and goes. Now, as style influencers Kylie Jenner and Nicola Peltz Beckham put their weight behind the stacking trend, you can expect it to become a major style choice for 2024.

Watch layering, which is also referred to as ‘watch stacking’, is a simple trend to follow: just wear two or even three watches on the same wrist at the same time. What makes the trend even better is that the styles, designs, and colours you choose are completely up to you, helping you make the most of your existing watch collection.

If you’re looking for some style inspiration in this regard, Kylie Jenner and Nicola Peltz Beckham both opted for gold-on-gold, with Jenner sporting a Cartier Panthère and a Cartier Baignoire, and Peltz Beckham opting for two Cartier Panthères. Princess Diana, meanwhile, who spearheaded the trend in the early 1980s, was spotted with two Patek Philippes, as well as a Patek Philippe Calatrava and Prince Charles’s Augemars Piguet Disco Volante.

Of course, we can’t all afford the price tags of these watches, but that doesn’t mean we can’t partake in the trend. In our opinion, the trick to make it look cool, classy, and curated is to go for two or three rather dainty watches, or else a statement watch combined with a more demure timepiece.
