In early June, Rihanna announced that her beauty brand would be expanding to cover hair products for all hair types, colours, and textures. In the announcement video on Instagram, Rihanna included redheads, brunettes, and blondes, as well as braids, wavy and straight hairstyles, afro textures, and even a grey-haired men.
Indeed, Fenty Hair is set to follow in the steps of Rihanna’s uber-inclusive make-up (Fenty Beauty) and skincare (Fenty Skin) lines, which are worth a staggering $2.8 billion according to Forbes.
Launched on June 13, Fenty Hair is already made up of multiple products including curl-defining creams, heat protectants, repairing conditioners, gels, bond builders, cleansers, and styling tools. All of them come packaged in pastel-coloured bottles and containers that make them feel like something straight out of a fairytale.
Given the success of all her other ventures into beauty, it’s highly likely that Fenty Hair will be another industry-defining project. In fact, the brand is already set to launch more products in the months to come.
