These are autumn 2024’s biggest colours

It’s all about two things: bright colours and neutrals.

With summer soon on its way out, it’s time to start thinking about our autumn wardrobes. If you’re not sure where to start, it’s good to keep in mind that these five colours will be everywhere next season − at least according to experts at Vogue and numerous runways!

Blue: While navy and royal blue will obviously always be classics, it was the lighter shades that hit the autumn/winter ‘24 runway like a wrecking ball. Indeed, knitwear, shoes, skirts, leather, and chiffon were all given the Starlight Blue or Wave Ride treatment.

Yellow: Although it’s traditionally been seen as a spring colour, yellow started making the transition to an autumnal colour in 2023. According to Pantone, the autumn/winter ‘04 London Fashion Week was heavy with Misted Yellows.

Pink: Another colour that has transitioned from spring to autumn is pink − in every shade, too, ranging from hot pink or pastel. Such has been its rise that Kylie Jenner was styled in a pink Prada dress for the Vogue UK September issue cover shoot. What we love even more is that many designers and stylists have combined different shades of pink together!

Grey: Unsurprisingly, grey will once again make waves this autumn, and is an ideal colour to keep in mind whether you’re shopping for trousers, skirts, coats, jackets or scarves. The best part about grey is that it’s a relatively neutral colour and it goes with most other combinations.

Khaki: As one of those hard-to-define colours, khaki may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but designers went absolutely mad for it while working on their autumn/winter ‘24 collections. In fact, the colour was used for tonal dressing, in which the colour was combined with olive and moss greens, greys and light pinks.
