Teens invited to immerse themselves in ‘silent’ creative activities

A fun and safe way to socialise and break from screens and daily pressures

Building on a successful fortnightly event for adults, the Silent Reading Party/Offline
Party is launching a dedicated session for teens aged 14 to 16.

The meet-up is an alternative, low-pressure, fun and safe way for teens to socialise
and break from screens and daily pressures while encouraging leisure reading, the organisers say.

Held at cosy and welcoming cafés and tearooms, the private event allows teens to immerse
themselves in 90 minutes of creative activities they enjoy in a calm setting individually,
yet together.

They are invited to bring their current read, writing pad, game, drawing supplies,
crochet or any favourite silent activity for some chill moments in the company of their
besties or new friends. They can even wear their ear pods to listen to an audiobook or
music while engaging in a craft or reading.

They may also win a number of books as part of a raffle draw.

The first event is being held at Terryberry Tearooms in Xemxija on Friday, November 29 from 6.30 to 8pm.

Pre-booking is essential. Ticket price is €15 per person and includes snacks but
excludes beverages. Tickets are non-refundable. Click here for more details.
