Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum in Mdina is organising a specially curated tour at the museum to celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8, from 10.30am till noon.

The one-hour guided tour will highlight the diverse roles women have held throughout history, from their position as the main workforce in the cotton industry, reflected in the collection of spinning wheels, to the influential role of empress Julia Domna, known for her impact on politics, society and philosophy.

The tour will connect various historical roles to objects within Olof Gollcher’s collection.

After the tour, visitors are invited to enjoy a glass of Buck’s Fizz and some nibbles in the palazzo’s courtyard.

Pre-booking is essential and tickets are non-refundable. One can book a place by sending an e-mail to bookings@palazzofalson.com or by calling 2145 4512.

In the event of inclement weather, refreshments will be served in the refectory of the palazzo.
