Malta Fashion Week 2025 launched last night – a celebration of culture, innovation and Maltese heritage, showcasing three distinct, captivating fashion shows.

The event brought together international guests, local fashion lovers and key cultural figures in a unique setting that spans both Valletta and Floriana.

The night began with a warm welcome to guests by the executive producer of Malta Fashion Week & Awards, Adrian J. Mizzi, joined by the mayor of Floriana, Nigel Holland, and the mayor of Valletta, Olaf McKay. Though often known for their local football rivalry, the two mayors united for this special occasion to officially inaugurate Malta Fashion Week 2025. Their symbolic ribbon-cutting marked the start of a week where creativity knows no borders.

Show 1 – Gagliardi

Collection: The Sweet Summer

The first runway show of the night featured beloved Maltese menswear brand Gagliardi, unveiling its Spring/Summer 2025 collection: The Sweet Summer.

In a refined tribute to evolution through elegance, the collection embraced lightweight tailoring, soft silhouettes and the Mediterranean’s iconic linen – reimagined in rich hues of indigo, terracotta, and sage green.

The unstructured jackets, drawstring trousers and breathable fabrics signalled a confident step towards modern, smart-casual sophistication, while staying true to the brand’s tailored heritage.

A moment of recognition – fashion photography exhibition

During the evening, Malta Fashion Week proudly announced a new milestone for the local fashion scene: the largest fashion photography exhibition ever held in Malta.

Showcasing powerful visuals from photographers across various countries and cultures, this landmark exhibition, which lines the catwalk and seating, captures fashion’s emotional core through runway highlights and behind-the-scenes moments.

The announcement was made in the presence of Jeffrey Saliba from The Malta Records and Mizzi. The exhibition is generously supported by Arts Council Malta and Logografix.

Show 2 – Captain’s Cut

Collection: Minsuġa

Designer Keith John Caruana, under his artisanal label Captain’s Cut, presented “Minsuġa”— a soulful collection blending traditional Maltese craftsmanship with the timeless allure of hand-worked leather.

Inspired by a walk through Gozo and the delicate art of macramé and lacework, each garment is lovingly handcrafted from vegetable-tanned Italian leather.

Styled by Italian fashion creative Linda Boranga La Stylist, this showcase paid tribute to slow fashion, cultural preservation and the intimate beauty of handmade garments.

Collection: 2026 Bridal & Evening Gown Collection

Closing the evening was Ivory & Co, debuting their 2026 bridal and eveningwear collection – a celebration of timeless glamour with a modern edge.

Designed for the confident, contemporary woman, each gown fused tradition with graceful innovation, offering elegance for both the aisle and the ballroom.
