The artistic group Akkwarellisti/Brushes is setting up its 11th exhibition at Palazzo Ferreria in Valletta, opposite the Old Theatre in Republic Street.
As the name of the group suggests, most of the artists focus on aquarelles, or as they are more universally known, watercolours. Nevertheless, one or two artists are also into acrylics, which is why ‘Brushes’ has been added to the group’s original name.

Seven artists are taking part in this year’s exhibition, namely Fabiola Agius Anastasi, Frank Bonnici, John Caruana, Grace Cassar, Michael Gauci, Elisabeth Saguna and Iona Treeby Ward. They will present a varied range of artistic works, from portraits, still-lifes and local scenery to experimental art and semi-abstracts.
The exhibition will open to the public on Friday and runs until November 9. Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm; Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am to 1pm.
