The beloved red-headed optimist Annie will take over the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, this week.
Under the direction of Chiara Hyzler and musical direction by Kris Spiteri, FM Theatre Productions brings one of the most heartwarming and iconic musicals of all time to life: a story of hope, courage and the power of believing in a better tomorrow.
Set in 1930s New York City during the Great Depression, Annie follows the journey of a brave young orphan who dreams of finding her parents and a home of her own. When billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend Christmas at his mansion, their worlds collide in unexpected ways, proving that family can be found in the most unlikely of places.

This production introduces two bright young performers, Yelena Brincat and Faith Vella Gregory, who share the titular role of Annie. They are joined by Denise Mulholland as Miss Hannigan, Cliff Zammit Stevens as Oliver Warbucks, and a great supporting cast that includes Gabrielle Sargeant, Raphael Pace, Tessa May Attrill and Edward Mercieca.
Featuring timeless favourites such as It’s the Hard Knock Life, Tomorrow and You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile, Annie: The Musical promises a dazzling mix of laughter, emotion and classic Broadway spectacle.
Annie: The Musical is being staged from Friday to Sunday, October 31 to November 2. For tickets and more information, visit www.showshappening.com.
