The weekend starts: I usually get to unwind after my last lecture on Friday, marking the end of another hectic week of studying.

Early riser? On Saturdays, I wake up early to attend training sessions that begin at 7.30AM. I’m always excited to push myself physically and feel the adrenaline rush that comes with it. On Sundays, though, I try to sleep in.

I’m at my most relaxed when: I’m socialising and catching up with friends. It’s the perfect way to de-stress and have some fun. And, of course, no weekend is complete without indulging in a delicious takeaway meal, particularly Turkish or pizza!

Go out or stay in? My weekends are filled with activities that help me relax, recharge, and prepare for the upcoming week so I would say, a mix of both!

Guilty weekend pleasure: After training, I take some time to myself and head to a cosy coffee shop where I can relax and indulge in my favourite pastime: reading a book. I love immersing myself in a good story.

Saturdays give me time to: Take care of any pending tasks on my to-do list and tie up any loose ends so I can enter the new week feeling organised and refreshed.

Sundays are for: Preparing for our podcast, Single Handedly, where we tackle life’s biggest questions. It’s also the day when I reset everything, clean my room, plan my meals for the upcoming week, change my sheets, and pack my bags for training.

My childhood weekends were: For spending time with my parents and exploring different sports in public parks.

I close off the weekend with: Tea with my mum, sharing my thoughts, and getting ready for the week ahead.
