First book in Maltese about autism to be launched

The first book in Maltese about autism, titled Kuluri tal-Awizmu: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers, is being launched tomorrow, April 28.

Its aim is to provide a resource for families and caregivers of individuals with autism in Malta, who often struggle to find reliable information and support, and to help raise awareness and promote understanding of autism in the Maltese community.

Written by doctors Yanika Attard and Melvin Attard, the publication provides practical advice, support and guidance on how to navigate the challenges of autism.

It covers a wide range of topics, including the causes of autism, its symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options. It also includes valuable information on how to support individuals with autism in their daily lives, including tips for communication, socialisation and behaviour management.

The launch will be held at 5pm at the Malta Autism Centre, Triq Gilormu Cassar, Mosta. Present at the launch will be the authors and other distinguished personalities. Everyone is welcome.
