Fort St Angelo to stay open late for fireworks finale

Vistors can explore the grounds and enjoy the best vantage point for the show.

Fort St Angelo in Vittoriosa will once more welcome guests during extended hours on Friday, May 3 for a special night featuring the spectacular Malta International Fireworks Festival’s final show. The show was originally scheduled for April 30, but was postponed due to forecast inclement weather.

Perfectly woven with the theme of this year’s festival ‘Symphonies through the decades’, Heritage Malta is offering a memorable night at the landmark historic site of Fort St Angelo in Vittoriosa, which promises to delight all senses.

Guests will be able to enjoy a prime viewing of the culmination of this celebration of Maltese culture from one of the best vantage points on the island, whilst exploring the Fort’s expansive grounds, open exclusively during extended hours. The upper fort, administered by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, will not be accessible.

Two ticket options are available. The first is admission only, while the second caters for those wanting to complement their evening with an exclusive Taste History buffet dinner. Full details and options may be accessed here: https://heritagemalta.mt/whats-on/fireworks festival-2024/.

Doors will open at 7pm, giving guests plenty of time to settle in and enjoy the buffet before the show begins at 8.30pm. Those opting for the buffet must arrive by 7pm. Tickets for the admission-only option are available both online and at any Heritage Malta museum or site.
