Malta Libraries is holding a children’s workshop spearheaded by Joseph Schirò, the president of the Malta Map Society, on Saturday, June 15 at 10.30am.

The workshop, titled L-istorja tal-Ewropa, Mappa Mappa (The story of Europe, map by map), will revolve around various curiosities and unknown facts found in maps.

At the end of the workshop there will be a game called ‘Windows on Valletta’ where the children will be given pictures of important and historical buildings in Valletta. The children will have to place them in their right position on a large outline plan of Valletta.

The one-hour workshop is open for children between 8 and 14 years and is being held at the Central Public Library in Floriana.

If you would like to register your children for the workshop send an e-mail to events.library@gov.mt with the particulars of your child including name/surname, date of birth and ID number by no later than noon of Friday, June 14. Registration is free, but places are limited.
