We’re Maltese, of course we’re renting out a boat at some point this summer. Here are five gorgeous spot to turn your day dazzling blue.
Ġnejna Bar, Mġarr
Ġnejna Bay is a beautiful spot in the north of Malta that offers a more secluded beach experience. You’ll see a sandy beach and clear waters surrounded by rugged cliffs. The waters are shallow and safe, making Ġnejna Bay a perfect spot for families with young children.
Anchor Bay, Mellieħa
You may have heard of Popeye’s Village, but you may not know about the bay within the complex. Anchor Bay complements the theme park, making it a cool place to dock. Take in the view of the wooden houses in the background as you snorkel, dive, swim, or simply sunbathe on the deck.
St Peter’s Pool, Delimara
St. Peter’s Pool seems to be carved out of the rocky coastline. Its unique geological formations create an inviting and picturesque environment, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and cliff diving. Since getting to St. Peter’s Pool is challenging by land, it makes for the ideal boat stop if you’re looking for something different, but quiet.
Mġarr ix-Xini, Gozo
This secluded bay in the southern coast of Gozo offers a tranquil retreat with breathtaking scenery. The waters are filled with rich and diverse wildlife, making it an awesome spot for snorkelers and divers. If you’d rather stay on the boat, you can enjoy the view of the historical watchtower and the beautiful landscape.
Crystal Lagoon, Comino
This beautiful bay adjacent to the Blue Lagoon offers a crystal clear water experience, thus providing the perfect conditions for snorkeling, swimming, and diving. The lagoon offers a stunning backdrop for water activities, especially since this bay is usually quieter than the Blue Lagoon, which is where most boats stop.
