Are you ready to take your nail game to the next level?
This winter’s most popular nail design trends are wildly ambitious, almost blurring the line between reality as fantasy. The three below are our absolute favourites, but you may also want to look up some others, like the Sweater Fuzz Nails or the Mood Ring Nails.
Green Tortoiseshell: Tortoiseshell is a timeless pattern that’s often associated with sunglasses and other accessories. This season, however, it will adorn the nails of the brave and the bold, as nail technicians layer translucent browns and greens and blend them together. Dark spots are then added to add depth. If you’d like something even more classical, a brown version is also circulating on the internet.
Chrome: Futuristic to a tee, fully chromatic nails are another major trend this season, and are easier to achieve given you use good nail polish. The idea is to make the nails look like silver armour that shines, and shines, and shines. Alternatively, if you prefer gold to silver, the trend extends to that too!
Ornament-Inspired: Magnetic gel polish is being coated on a dark base to give nails a reflection that resembles ornaments on a Christmas tree. From the pictures we’ve seen, many who have taken up this trend are keeping their nails short, adding roundness to the equation.
